RE: Recent Sonoma West article

Barnum & Bailey coined the phrase “there’s a sucker born every minute.” This seems to be the business model of pot promoters who proclaim grass grown in Sonoma County is somehow “better” or different,” prompting consumers to want marijuana grown here.

But the notion of terroir is daft. The “Sonoma soil” is manufactured from a mixture of chemicals that is placed is a large plastic tub, and rarely contains any soil from the grow property. And the plants are screened from our “Sonoma light and air” by ugly white plastic hoop houses.

Maybe those “sophisticated consumers” are just latter-day versions of Cheech and Chong who contentedly smoke dog poop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIZCvx4R2-8
